“ The dim sum was so good here. I grew up eating this stuff, in fact our freezer was full of it because my dad is a dim sum chef. The rice wrapping on the har gao and cheung fun was so smooth, that's how you tell if a place is good or not. Flavor wise it was all good, I think the radish cake could have used a few more minutes to really crisp up but overall, good experience. However, I will say every other table around us also got a lamented menu of family style dishes to order expect us. Originally we thought it was because we were a party of 2 but the table behind us was as well. ”
“ Waited on line for about 15 minutes before getting seated. Being that it is located in Sheung Wan, the restaurant had a lot of non-Chinese patrons. Good thing their menu is in both English and Chinese. The establishment isn't that big, so not much variety in terms of food. However, they had all the dim sum staples, such as siu mai, ha gao, chicken feet, and golden sponge cakes. They also have more "filling" dishes like steamed rice pots and fried rice noodle. Everything is moderately priced, the buns and cakes are the cheapest while the seafood items are the most expensive. My two friends and I ordered shrimp rice rolls, BBQ pork rice rolls, spring rolls wrapped by rice rolls, crispy BBQ pork buns, and fried creamy custard buns. The crispy BBQ pork buns reminded us of Tim Ho Wan's. Though we did order a good amount of fried/crispy items, everything was soo oily, especially the fried custard buns and the spring rolls wrapped by rice rolls. I left feeling very weighed down by all the oil. ”
“ Awesome cheap prices for amazing dim sum. Crispy bbq pork bun is a must with sweet bread and lots of bbq sauce. Turnip cake is also a must with nice chunky pieces of turnip for texture. Very flavorful too. Shao mai was pretty good too like most shao mai. Soups and jellies are pretty good, but other things are better ”
“ Very busy spot, clearly has a following of people/tourists/locals who know about this place, be prepared for a little bit of a wait. We had to wait about 10 minutes around 11:45AM on a Sunday. I am not a dim sum connoisseur, so I do not have a bar to judge this by so much. Dim sum was quite good. Menu easy to read, even if you do not speak the language, includes photos on many of the items. They understand they are feeding non-Chinese too, so they have made it easy on themselves and their non-Chinese speaking patrons. They have take out option, which we will do sometime, since we live in the hood. We thought the prices were very reasonable. We had like five dishes and the bill was $120 HKD. The quality of food was there, the price was right, the wait was OK...we would go back...as long as the wait is not too long. ”
